Montfort Child Development Centre Inauguration at Ramanthapur, Hyderabad on 27th June-2024.

Montfort Child Development Centre is an initiative of Montfortian Prophetic presence in Hyderabad. It was inaugurated by His Eminence Cardinal Poola Antony in the presence of Bro. Pratap Reddy, Vicar General, Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel, Rome, Bro. Shine Alex, provincial superior of the province of Hyderabad along with esteemed Ecclesial authorities and civil authorities, Mr. Ummer Khan (Chairman), Helen Keller institute and other dignitaries and people on 27 June 2024.
It is a collaborative venture of Montfort Brothers of St. Gariel with other institutions. We are using Montfort Nilayam Infrastructure for this new mission.
This mission is indeed an inspiration from the original Montfortian Gabrielites Charism. It was initiated by our late Bro. Mathew Kuplikat and taken forward by Rev. Bro. C.A. James with full support and interest by Rev. Bro. Shine Alex and the provincial administration. This is indeed an actualization of Various General chapter and Provincial Chapter decisions.

International Day of Persons With Disabilities Celebrated At Montfort Child Development Centre

International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) was celebrated on 7th December 2024 at MCDC. The day is about promoting the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities at every level of development, and to raise awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of political, social, economic, and cultural life. The MCDC joins in observing this day as to reinforcing the importance of securing the rights of people with disabilities, so they can participate fully, equally and effectively in society with others, and face no barriers in all aspects of their lives.

Semi-Christmas Celebration At Montfort Child Development Centre

Christmas was celebrated on 23-Dec-2024. Bro. Thomas C.A. and Mr. Razaaq, were our guests for the day.
We started the program with Christmas prayer. Mr. S. Reuben welcomed the gathering. We listened to the Christmas narrative from Luke 2:1-14. Bro. C.A. James the Director gave the Christmas message.
Children, parents along with the staff cut the Christmas Cake and shared the joy of Christmas.

Distribution of Free Hearing Aid Machines at Montfort Child Development Centre

Montfort Child Development Centre has given two hearing aid machines to Master Manoj Kumar and six hearing aid machines to Boy’s Town deaf students by Mr. Praveen Kumar Reddy and Mr. Jayanth in collaboration with Ashray Akruthi.

International Autism Day Observed at Montfort Child Development Centre

We, the Montfort Child Development Centre, observed the International Autism Day on 2nd April-2025 .

Thanks Giving & Parent-Teachers’ Interaction Day at Montfort Child Development Centre

Looking at MCDC’s successful running and remembering all donors, collaborators and other stake holders, the Montfort Child Development Centre celebrated “Thanks Giving & Parent-Teachers’ Interaction Day together in Montfort Nilayam on 11th April-2025. For this auspicious occasion, important guests were invited from different places, Mr. Deepak John- Chairman for Telangana Christian Minorities Finance Corporation, was the Chief Guest of the day. Rev. Bro. Shine Alex- Provincial Superior, V. Madhu- The regional manager of South Indian Bank, Mr. Ummer Khan- Founder Chairman of Helen Keller Institute. Each one of them were thanked for their generosity and collaboration to serve these most vulnerable children. Various activities were organized to mark the day colorful.

Disability Pride Celebrated in Montfort Child Development Centre on 26-July-2025

The month of July is known internationally as the month of Disability Pride Month. The Montfort Child Development Centre celebrated it with great creativity and enthusiasm on 26-July-2025 along with group therapy.
The director Bro. C.A. James spoke on disability and lifted the spirits of most vulnerable parents and children to rise to their greatest abilities and talents. He recalled the boy who received an award for digital AI from the president of India. He motivated them by saying, discovering their abilities and talents, they can grow. These children’s disabilities are the unique assets of our country.
The children enjoyed different activities on this occasion. They learned about the rights, values and the importance of their lives.

Sports Day Celebration On 30-August-2025

Sports Day was celebrated on 30th Aug-2025. The staff, parents and children participated in the games and enjoyed the day. There were so many cheers, claps and motivations. This day became remarkable to everyone.

Diwali Celebration on 15th Oct-2025

Rev. Bro. Shine Alex, the Provincial Superior of Hyderabad Province was the Chief Guest. He lit the lamp along with other dignitaries and inaugurated the Diwali Celebration at Montfort Child Development Centre on 15th Oct-2025. Various activities were organized on this day to mark the Diwali Festival as special. 

Global Family Celebration On the 25th-October-2025

The group therapy was conducted along with the theme “Global Family” on the 25th Oct-2025. Rev. Bro. Pratap Reddy, Vicar General, Rome was the chief guest for this event.

Conducted Group Therapy along with the theme, Facing The Challenges on the 1st Nov-2025

The MCDC Director Bro. C.A. James spoke the words of awareness about how to face the challenge of differently abled children. He mentioned that every disabled child has a challenge in everything. The parents need to take this challenge as opportunity to love and care for them. They should be accepted and then they will be Enlightened. Unity is strength. Together we will overcome it. On this day different activities were organized to teach the children, parents and staff about facing the challenges. 

Jubilee of The Poor Celebrated on 15th Nov-2025

The Jubilee of The Poor was celebrated on 15th Nov-2025 in MCDC along with differently abled children, parents and staff. On this auspicious occasion, highlighted the importance of differently abled children that they are the precious gift of God. All should work unitedly to free them from their problem. And also, emphasized that every poor person deserves humanitarian service and a dignified life.
